Grow Wild 2023 music is all local! See Iowa singer-songwriters from our very own community on the back patio of the Jester Park Nature Center. There are plenty of picnic tables for you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the tunes as they flow across the wild prairie!

Andrew Hoyt

Andrew Hoyt is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Des Moines IA, one of the most creative and culturally aware cities in the Mid-West. His passion and drive demand that he is creative every single day, this gift he doesn’t keep to himself, but as a K-5 vocal music teacher he is guiding and inspiring future generations.

Kelsie James

Kelsie James is a sixteen-year-old singer/songwriter from Urbandale, Iowa. She has spent her whole life writing, performing, and being entirely consumed in the world of music. In the past year Kelsie has performed at Roof Garden Ballroom,  xBk, the Iowa State Fair, 80/35 Music Festival and has now released her first EP Songs About Daisies in February 2023. James’ music is vulnerable, emotional, and raw, as well as inspired by music of the 70s. Like her favorite artists, such as Taylor Swift, she does not like to be defined as one genre or style.

Day’s Live Music

Day is an up-and-coming artist who enjoys featuring her Tennessee roots and storytelling through rich and expressive vocals. Her set is made of upbeat hits in the country, classic rock, and pop genres! Her previous season included performances at The World Food and Music Festival, Iowa State Fair, Des Moines Lantern Festival, LunaFest, American Gothic Festival, and the DSM Festival of Trees and Lights!
